Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is actively engaging with Black and Latino voters during his visit to Pennsylvania on Friday, as part of efforts to bolster support for Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris. A campaign official revealed that Walz will meet with Black community leaders at Booker’s Restaurant and Bar, a Black-owned establishment in West Philadelphia. Additionally, he will visit El Tipico Restaurant in Allentown, Pennsylvania, a city with a significant Latino population, accompanied by Allentown’s first Latino mayor Matt Tuerk.
During these interactions, Walz is expected to emphasize Harris’ ‘opportunity agenda,’ a set of economic policy proposals aimed at addressing the needs of non-white voters. Since joining the Democratic ticket in August, Walz has been actively involved in outreach efforts to Black and Latino voters through rallies, community visits, and media appearances.
