Watch live coverage as SpaceX launches a Falcon 9 rocket with a mysterious payload named “Optus-X” to a geosynchronous transfer orbit. Liftoff from pad 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center is scheduled for 5:28 p.m. EST (2228 UTC) on Sunday, Nov. 17. A little less than eight minutes after liftoff, the first stage booster, making its 16th flight, will make a landing on the drone ship ‘A Shortfall of Gravitas’ stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
The Falcon 9 will head away from Cape Canaveral on an easterly trajectory.
